The value of working with horses as a teaching tool to learn new skills have been proven time and time again in the teaching of young people. Working with horses creates memories that children and young adults can apply to their lives and retain far longer than sitting in ‘just another classroom’.
Our interactive youth programs are specifically designed to ensure the learning and retention of necessary life skills to aid in each participant’s personal growth. The horses do the teaching, while our facilitators are there to offer explanation and provide guidance as they work through the solution.
Our programs provide a powerful journey of teaching, learning and understanding. All programs can be tailored in content, structure and duration to meet the specific needs of each group of children or young adults. We offer a range of programs for Schools and Youth Organisations, including:
Young Leaders – Authentic Leadership ideal for those in leadership roles or demonstrating leadership potential at school, sports or other extra-curricular activities.
Embracing Change – Transitions supports youth during transitions such as the move from primary to high school or preparing to enter the workforce or further studies.
Engagement – Youth at Risk for youth identified as at risk of disengagement. Programs develop self-awareness, leadership, accountability and teamwork.
‘Be Kinder’ Program – Anti-bullying specifically structured to develop self-esteem, assertiveness and communication skills in an inclusive, neutral environment. The program helps address issues of bullying.
Programs are designed to prepare participants to take on the challenges that life throws at them. They will learn to:
