Equestrian Australia – Introductory Horse Management Course
Term 2 & 3, 2019
About the Course:
The Introduction to Horse Management program is open to adults and High School students (12 years old and above) interested in developing, or furthering, their Horse Management skills. The program covers concepts of general horse management essential to the provision of minimum standards of horse welfare and practise. It is accredited by Equestrian Australia (EA) and successful participants receive an EA certificate upon completion.
About Equestrian Australia:
Equestrian Australia is the national governing body for equestrian sports in Australia. These sports include the FEI-recognized disciplines of dressage, eventing, show jumping, equestrian vaulting, endurance riding, reining, para-equestrian, and combined driving. Equestrian Australia also provides education and training.
Course Timetable:
The program will run for 12 weeks over Terms 2 & 3, with six weeks in each term (dates below). The first five weeks of each term will cover the core program content, following the Introduction to Horse Management Workbook. Week six will be reserved for revision and ground work activities. Term 3 dates are listed below.
Term 3 Dates: Saturday afternoons from 1.30pm – 3.30pm
- Week 1: Sat, August 3rd
- Saturday, August 10th – no session
- Saturday, August 17th – no session
- Week 2: Sat, August 24th
- Week 3: Sat, August 31st
- Week 4: Sat, September 7th
- Week 5: Sat, September 14th
- Week 6: Sat, September 21st
